Day 1 Hanoi
Upon arriving in Hanoi, you’ll be warmly greeted by our English-speaking guide and driver, who will escort you to your hotel for check-in. Your adventure begins with a leisurely stroll through some of Hanoi’s most iconic landmarks, including the bustling Old Quarter, the elegant Opera House, serene Hoan Kiem Lake, and the historic Ngoc Son Temple.
As evening falls, indulge in a delightful introduction to Vietnam’s culinary scene with authentic street food.
Day 2 Hanoi
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Ba Dinh Square, home to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Visit the historic Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts, the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university and a symbol of Confucian heritage.
Afternoon Activities
In the afternoon, explore Hoa Lo Prison, followed by a visit to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. This museum offers a comprehensive glimpse into the lives of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups through its impressive collection of artifacts, photos, and multimedia displays.
Next, visit a local craftsman’s house to witness the artistry behind water puppet creation. Conclude your day with a fascinating water puppet show—a beloved cultural highlight for any visitor to Vietnam.
Day 3 Hanoi - Halong Bay
Morning Activities
Depart Hanoi’s Old Quarter area around 8:30 AM by shuttle bus (or opt for a private car or make your own travel arrangements) and begin the 3-hour drive to Halong Bay. Arrive at Bai Chay harbor around noon for embarkation.
Evening Activities
Spend the evening at your leisure. Take in the serene atmosphere of the bay, unwind in your cabin, or simply relax and refresh yourself. Enjoy an overnight stay onboard. After kayaking, return to the junk to swim or simply relax. Conclude your afternoon with a delightful dinner served onboard. Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard as the junk sets sail into the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay. The cruise will take you to Cap La and Tra San, where you can kayak and marvel at the stunning limestone formations. The compact size of the junk allows for closer interaction with nature, offering an intimate experience that larger cruises cannot provide.
Day 4 Halong Bay - Hanoi
Morning Activities
Start your day with a breathtaking sunrise over the bay, followed by breakfast on board. The cruise then sets sail to the Vung Ha area, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the renowned floating village of Vung Vieng aboard a rustic rowing boat. Immerse yourself in the daily life of local fishermen and gain insights into their unique lifestyle.
Afterward, check out of your cabin as the cruise heads back toward the harbor. Enjoy an à la carte lunch on board before disembarking at the harbor around noon.
Afternoon Activities
From Bai Chay Harbor, you'll be picked up and begin the return journey to Hanoi. Along the way, make a stop at Yen Duc Village after approximately two hours to watch a traditional water puppet show performed by local artists.
Arrive in Hanoi around 5:00 PM. Check in to your hotel and take the evening to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 5 Hanoi
Your final day has arrived, marking the end of an incredible journey through Hanoi and Halong Bay! Take some free time to stroll around Hanoi, soak in the vibrant city atmosphere, or simply relax at your hotel before your driver takes you to the airport for your departure flight.
